Wu Yu

Wu Yu was appointed Executive Director and Managing Director of COSCO SHIPPING Ports, effective April 2025. She also serves as Chair of the Risk Control Committee and member of key board committees including Executive, Remuneration, Nomination, and Investment & Strategic Planning. Wu replaces Zhu Tao as Managing Director, while Zhu remains Chairman of the Board. Wu brings over 25 years of experience in container shipping and digital transformation, having held senior leadership positions at COSCO SHIPPING Lines and OOCL. Her cross-sector perspective spans shipping, terminals, logistics, and IT, underscoring the company's focus on integrated port-container synergies. She is also among the few female executives in China's state-owned maritime sector, reflecting progress in ESG and gender diversity.
