Meg O'Neill

Meg O'Neill serves as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Woodside Energy Group Ltd, Australia's largest independent oil and gas company. Appointed CEO in 2021, she successfully led the transformational merger with BHP's petroleum business, creating a global top-10 independent energy company. O'Neill brings over 30 years of energy industry experience, having previously served as Woodside's Chief Operating Officer and held leadership roles at ExxonMobil across the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Under her leadership, Woodside is pursuing major growth projects including Scarborough LNG while advancing decarbonization initiatives. She holds a chemical engineering degree from Louisiana State University and serves on the board of the American Petroleum Institute.
