Originally from Tuscany, Italy, Simonelli is a Business & Economics Graduate from Cardiff University in South Wales. He joined GE's Financial Management Program in 1994 and held various positions including President & CEO of GE Transportation (2008-2013) and President & CEO of GE Oil & Gas (2013-2017). He currently serves on the Board of Iveco Group N.V. and resides in Houston.
