Evraz CEO Alexei Ivanov resigned in July 2022 after the UK imposed sanctions on the company and its largest shareholder Roman Abramovich in March 2022. Ivanov, who worked at Evraz since 2002, was appointed CEO in May 2021 after Alexander Frolov stepped down. Following the sanctions, all nonexecutive directors left the company's board. Evraz's management is now carried out by the company's board of directors. The board currently has directors including Ruslan Ibragimov (vice president for corporate and legal issues at MTS) and independent director Andrei Loboda (managing partner of law firm Loboda, Filimonov & Partners). In July 2025, Atlas Holdings completed the acquisition of EVRAZ North America, forming Orion Steel Companies with Doug Matthews as CEO.
