    Aditya Mittal (born January 22, 1976) is the CEO of ArcelorMittal, the world's leading steel company founded by his father Lakshmi Mittal. Born in India and raised in Indonesia, Mittal attended high school at Jakarta International School. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. He worked briefly at Credit Suisse First Boston before joining the family business in 1997. He was appointed Head of Mergers and Acquisitions in 1999 and led Mittal Steel's offer for Arcelor that resulted in the 2006 merger creating ArcelorMittal. He was appointed CEO in February 2021, succeeding his father. Mittal is on the boards of ArcelorMittal, Aperam, Iconiq Capital, and is a trustee at Brookings Institution. He lives in London.
